Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "little bobble thingy". I can tell that it bobbles, but what does it look like?

Get some cardboard, some yarn any color, and scissors.
Cut the cardboard in to two identical circles.
Carefully cut a hole in both of the peices, without cutting the cardboard, you might need a art knife.
Putting the two peices together, wrap some yarn through the hole and around the cardboard going in a circle motion.
Do this many times all the way around.
Once you have the peices of cardboard completely covered and to the point were you can't put any more yarn through the hole, you cut around the edges.
When you see the two peices of dardboard you carefully pull the two peices away, NOT TO THE POINT WHERE THEY COME OFF!!!
After you pull them just like two cenemeters apart then you tie a peice of yarn right in the middle very tight.
after you do this THEN take the carboard off.
Fluff it a bit and know you have your pom-pom or a great cat toy :)

One method of making a "pom pom" is to take a piece of sturdy cardboard rectangle a little larger than the finished pom pom, wrap yarn around it many many times. Carefully slip the wraps of yarn off the cardboard, use a scrap piece of yarn to tie very very tightly in the middle. You now have a bundle of loops; cut along the loops and you have a very messy pom. Now rolls the pom like you're making a clay ball. That helps get the shape nice. Take scissors and carefully start trimming stray yarn pieces. The more wraps you make around the cardboard the fully, more dense the final pom pom will be. Make a couple, experiment. use the scrap piece of yarn you tied the middle with to attach to your hat.

as far as i remember you cut a out a circle and another small circle cut from the centre then wind wool all from outer to inner circle. When there is just a little hole in centre stop.Tie off end .Cut through outer edge of wool all the way round then with another piece of wool tie in the middle being careful to hold it together.I hope this is right for what you want to make.Just remember to measre circle first might be better to make it a bit bigger then you can cut it to size after.

You cut 2 circles out of card and then cut another circle out of the middles so you have a donut....the width of the rings should be 3cm....then place them on top of each other then you wind wool round and round through the hole until there is no more hole left...then you cut through the wool and secure the middle with more wool tied in a knot.
