a bird needs to coordinate the responses to many stimuli when flying. which area of a bird's brain would be relatively larger than in a human brain?

The hippocampus is a part of the brain located in the medial temporal lobe (humans and other mammals have two hippocampi, one in each side of the brain). It forms a part of the limbic system and plays a part in memory and spatial navigation.

Would it require more coordination than, for example, running at full speed through an obstacle course?

I mean, when you watch world class gymnastics, it's pretty amazing what a human brain can coordinate...

I dunno, just something to throw into the pot. :~)
