Has anyone ever heard of such a thing ? The smell is most noticeable when the car has been sitting in the sun. I dare not say what make the car is because I don't want to be sued.

that's the new new-car smell. nice, isn't it? i used to rent cars.

u can tell if it's somebody's butt that made the car smell like it does, or if it's the materials that make up the vehicle emitting this smell.

If you want to eliminate odors, first clean well with products like Odo Ban, then to eliminate odors inexpensively, here's a fragrance free product that is the perfect solution . - I know so many other people that use it. It is a natural fragrance free carbon product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers -little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is great and eliminates odors for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Just place a couple in car and trunk and forget about it. No spills or chemicals or powder to worry about. Each only costs a couple of dollars. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like linens and things. I also think camping world sells it I know you can buy direct which is what I do -customerservice@innofresh.com...
Definitely worth trying

Maybe the car dealer lets homeless people sleep in them as an act of charity before he sells the car. Maybe a disgruntled auto factory worker left a sardine sandwich somewhere inside the frame of the car.

On some warm day bring the car back to the auto dealer and tell them it is a lemon and you want it deodorized or replaced. That should get action.

DIFFERENT SMELLS COME WITH DIFFERENT VEHICLES BUT IF IT SMELLS REALLY BAD I WOULD HAVE THE DEALER LOOK AT IT.

THERE ARE MANY CARS SOLD TODAY THAT ARE NEW BUT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE THEY ARE FLOOD DAMAGED VEHICLES AND NO ONE IS SAYING ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT A SALVAGE TITLE ISSUED ON THE CAR.

HAVE THE DEALER RUN A COMPLETE AUTO-CHECK REPORT FOR YOU AND ALSO CONTACT THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURES CUSTOMERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

Expensive car? LEATHER smeLLs, get over it!

Else, have service techs at dealership check for dead bugs or animals in ventilation hoses from outside air into car. Older roadkill does not smell like the recently deceased.

Else, have a good detailer use a good leather / plastics cleaner to wipe down the seats and below the windows.

Yes, someone sweats and leaves their MUSK on your materials.

Squirt toothpaste on hands to remove lube / oil before kissing your mate. Less rejection.
