Our first child, think we have settled on Aaron, for now anyways, I am 22 weeks along so you never now with a ways to go. I am half Japanese and considering a Japanese middle name since his last name will not be. It starts with H and is two syllables.

Aaron Nicholas
Aaron Zachary
Aaron James
Aaron Jacob
Aaron Joseph
Aaron Benjamin
Aaron Jonathan
Aaron Matthew
Aaron Lee
Aaron Makena
Aaron Hiroshi
Aaron Akio
Aaron Jiro
Aaron Masahiro
Aaron Takeshi

Any other suggestions or just comments on these would be great. Thanks.

I personally like Aaron Nicholas. But here is a great way for you to find out which name YOU like. Take one name per day, since you have 15 names on your list this will take you 15 days. Every day, pic a name and verbally speak out the name as though the child is already born, call the first, middle and last name each time 'you call the child' to breakfast, lunch, dinner, in side from play, to brush his teeth and so on..... In doing this your ears will hear the name out loud and your heart will let you know if you really like hearing this name for years to come - and then you can make up your own mind which name you like better. I did this with both of mine and my sister did it with her children. I sure hope this helped

Since Aaron is an Old Testament biblical name, I think that it'll sound very silly with a Japanese middle name. Go with something traditional. Our of your list, I like Aaron Zachary, Aaron James, Aaron Jacob, and Aaron Joseph the best. Classic and perennial. You can't go wrong. And you can find other ways to reflect his Japanese heritage, that doesn't involve the name.

I was thinking James (which you already have) or Michael, until I read the rest of your question. I don't know any Japanese names, and that's a good idea. My sister's son (his father is from El Salvador) has an English first name and Spanish middle name.

I really think it's GREAT to use a japanese middle name. I would not use Makena, since that is an American girls name, but the others are just fine! My friend's husband's siblings all have japanese middle name too (their mom was Japanese, she has since passed away). They are very proud of their names.
