This is the wrestling forum sweetie. I think you want the religion section.
For the record, you believe in the Most High based on FAITH , not scientific or empiracle evidence. There is enough evidence in the very air you are breathing that sustains life. If thats not proof enough than you are as good as the living dead.

If religious people are asking me to live my life based on what they think their god wants and based on their reading of an ancient book or what their preacher says, I'm going to want some evidence that what they say is valid, or I'm not going to believe in their deity. Humans have invented thousands of gods, so why should I believe in yours? "Nature" and creation are not evidence of a god existing. If someone says he loves me, well, he can provide evidence of that through his actions. So if I'm sick, he can run by the store and pick up a few things for me that would make me feel better. We spend time together. We care for each other. I can believe my boyfriend when he says he loves me because he has ways of showing it. Now, I've never been to London, but there are maps and photos and every indication that London is a real place and I could go there if I were so inclined. And I would likely return from London with photos and stories, etc. I could go to almost any city in the world and verify that it exists and then come back home with photographs. There are no maps of heaven or hell, much less any plausible images. Furthermore, according to you guys, heaven or hell is a one-way ticket. So yeah, if you tell me I need to believe in your god and live my life a certain way or I'm going to your hell, I want a little evidence that you aren't blowing smoke.

No. One cannot objectively prove the existence of God within this closed system we call "the universe."
One can accept on faith that certain things come from a God, but it takes a leap to do so such as "gosh, that flower is pretty...God did it" or "goodness, the human nervous system is so complex...yay, God." They go from stage 1 (the thing being praised) to the end stage, and then say "well, the Bible says so."
Am I saying he doesn't exist? No, because I am intellectually honest and am unable to disprove his existence. I just see no proof that clearly ties anything I've seen in this life to God. It all requires that leap.

I have not yet seen any definitive proof that an omnipotent being exists or does not exist. It seems to me that by presuming god to have an omnipotent nature, any empirical evidence that might preclude the existence of said creature were it not omnipotent are easily brushed aside by the simple if statement " if god is omnipotent then, by definition, god can do anything, no mater how impossible it might otherwise seem". In short if god is presumed omnipotent it is impossible to prove god does not exist. And yet, in spite of his alleged omnipotence, iI have yet to see anyone provide any emprical evidence that god exists.

Please check your definition of Empirical:
Relying on or derived from observation or experiment: empirical results that supported the hypothesis.
Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment: empirical laws.
Guided by practical experience and not theory, especially in medicine.
There is no empirical evidence of the existence of God.

Well....Since God made man and made him well. I stands to reason that the evidence that this man came up with was through divine inspiration and since man is programmed to find the creator his is internally attempting to perfect the loop that says "Return to Home". All that is found is divine.
