here's the thing. i purchased something from this person on e-bay and they scammed me. i'm in the middle of a dispute. i'm not gonna send them a random e-mail asking what their name is. we're not teenagers. i'm just wondering if their is some sort of website or some trick to finding out who an e-mail address belongs to.

Have you tried e mailing the address and saying "Hello, what's your name?" Just a thought.

Asking is the only way, and even then, they might lie.
