You'd be hard pressed to find someone to beat out Prince Fielder at this point for MVP. He's hit over 45 home runs and is the main reason the Brewers are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Peavy will not win the MVP because, while he may win the triple crown, he does not have the kind of incredible numbers a starter would need to win the MVP. He may win the triple crown without even getting 20 wins, for Pete's sake.
But this year there is no clear cut hitter with numbers far beyond anyone else. So the voters will look at the playoff teams. Wright should win it, as he is the best all-around player on a playoff team. He'll finish in the 30-30 club, with over 100 RBI and an average over .300. Fielder won't get it because it takes more than just winning the HR crown to be named MVP, even if your team does make the playoffs. He doesn't have the average or RBI numbers to be named MVP.

Peavy will def win the Cy Young but not the MVP
for the MVP it will be either:
1. Matt Holliday if the Rockies make the playoffs
2. Prince Fielder if the Brewers make the playoffs
3. David Wright if neither of them make it or he might win it anyway

A pitcher can win MVP and it has happened in the past with pitchers like Koufax, but it won't happen this year. However, Peavy is in the running for Cy Young and I believe he will win that award.

Beckett has in basic terms all started 30 video games two times in his profession & is injured. Peavy pitches at Petco Park a ptcher friendly park yet, Peavy became into 10-a million with a 2.fifty seven era on the line. Beckett performs interior the greater useful league & Peavey is consistant. i'm going to take consistant & Peavy.

he should get serious consideration, but just because i think baseball believes in spreading the wealth in terms of awards (and he's already got the Cy Young wrapped up) i think the guy who gets the MVP IF HIS TEAM MAKES THE PLAYOFFS is prince fielder...

I don't believe he's an MVP...that will go to either David Wright or Prince Fielder.
