Not a pastor but may be a youth pastor or youth counsel. I feel some of my life experiences are the same things that some youth go through, but worse. With that I can at least drop a seed and water it a little guide them in the right direction.

putting pastor and youth therapist in the same sentence and category is quite amusing. Ususally a child being around a Pastor makes them need to see a therapist after all the sexual abuse they suffer. So yea, ive thought about being a therapist to help a child after they suffer the hands of a Pastor.

It's funny you ask this. Yesterday when I picked my daughter up after Sunday School (CCD classes), I volunteered to be a teacher. From the way it sounds I will have the 6th grade, thank goodness it is only one kid! I told my Mom I did this and she was soooo happy that I have decided to do this. Maybe now I can have a better understanding on the Catholic Religion!

Yah. In fact a college aptitude test said it was a primary interest of mine. Unfortunately, to be a pastor, you have to dedicate to a particular church, which I was not and am not now able to do.

i used to want to be a youth therapist. as i was getting certified i had actual clients to rack up hours. it turned out to be too depressing for me. it definitely takes a special kind of person to handle that job.

i have thought about going on line to become an ordained minister so i can perform weddings, my grandmother is and i helped her do a wedding last summer and its really cool to be the one to do a service for 2 people in love!!!
she married me and my husband and 2 sets of my aunts and uncles! and my best Friend and her husband

No, Dr... never. Those guys deserve a medal for the work they do. I do not have that amount of patience with people. Animals yes, but Humans ... no way!

Yes .. The only way I could see it working was every time I heard something awful "well at least their life is worse than mine" Otherwise I think I'd kill myself
