I have an old AMD 256mb computer that after 30 min (more less) it frizzes and after that I have to turn it off and on.
I think It could be a problem with the memory but I don’t wanna make unnecessary expenses for a memory that might be useless
Any recommendations?

256mb is very low nowadays.

What has happend is software writers expect everyone to have 512mb+. So they write program that use more RAM than they use to need. You might find your Anti Virus is using 50mb.

As a test (Make sure your not connected to the internet)
Disable all your start-up commands. This will then really be just Widows running see if it runs ok.
Read the page on my PC help site on using Msconfig.

Also burn to CD anything you don't really need on your PC.
Less for Windows to search thru.

Run Ccleaner for a good clean up.

And defrag your hard drive.

There are viruses and trojans that can slow down a PC so a full scan is worth doing.

Freezes? sounds like a utility conflict or over heating. Run a Reg purifier,anti-virus prog and supply the followers/indoors a cood cleansing. verify all connections (interior and out).

Unplug it, open it up and check for dust bunnies. It may be overheating.
