Last week after the Bungles happen to beat the Ravens all everyone kept saying was how the Bengal are "an elite team" this year. So my question is.... If they are such and elite team then why is it that they just got beat like a drum by arguable the worst team in the AFC north?

The media loves the Bengals because of that idiot Chad Johnson and they constantly overrate that team. The media always rates flashy teams high and really never takes a good defense into account.

I want to see how far they drop in the power rankings this week. I saw them ranked anywhere from 4th to 6th. They shouldn't be any higher than 16th I would hope. But those media types will probably still rank them high.

No,even bad teams have good games , call them upsets. It was a 6 point victory, that's beaten like a drum?I'm a fan but I don't consider them elite. They didn't happen to beat the Ravens, the Ravens played like crap if you watched the game.No one in the AFC north is elite.Up in Cleveland they probably are calling Anderson an MVP but I think it takes more than one good game to get that. Steelers haven't played a winning team so far.The Bengals are just as good as any north team.Making predictions after 2 weeks into the season is kind of stupid in my opinion. I'm sure the Browns are going all the way this season.

The only way the Bungles would make the playoffs is by outscoring everyone the play, and if the Browns can outscore them, anyone can. Their defense looked like swiss cheese yesterday. It'll be a battle between them and the Ravens for second place in the AFC North and the last wildcard spot. I'd just like to thank the Browns for giving the Steelers the early lead for the division title. And to all the naysayers claiming Big Ben is a mediocre QB, all I can say is "youngest QB to ever win a Super Bowl". He's back to his old self again just like I said.

No, they are not an elite team. The only elite team in the NFL is the Patriots. Sorry Indy, sorry Chargers, New England is awesome. I am the biggest Bengal fan out their and I expected to stomp Cleveland. But I am not surprised by this outcome. I think it was 2004 when the Browns and Bengals played a game that finished 54-48. Not too often does anybody in the AFC North sweep a season seris. No body is going 16-0 anyway. So the Bengals will still go 12-4 and win the North. The Steelers are terrible, beat the defenseless Bills on Sunday, we have already beaten the Ravens and everyone esle will beat the Browns. WHO DEY! AFC NORTH CHAMPS 07! WHOOOOOOOOOOO DEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

They have no defense. They have a great offense and are expected to in shootouts.

Hey Leff Anderson is a STARTING QB now and this is his THIRD season, so of course you haven't heard of him. Don't be surprised if you haven't by the end of the year though. He actually wasn't doing THAT bad against the Steelers when he replaced Frye. He isn't elite, but he hadn't played that much yet. Played some last year in place of Frye, but the team around him was so bad because injuries. I'm a Steelers fan but doesn't mean I don't know my division.

Oh yeah!!! The Bungals are legends in their own minds! What a bunch of chokers! That's always been one of their bigger faults, with the others being no heart, no guts & can't even spell defense if you spot them the defens--. They used to be able to run up the score in these meaningless games, now second rate teams are stomping them. It's beautiful!!! I can't believe that there are posters saying, "But they only lost by 6!" They let the Brownies with a nobody QB blow them outta the stadium. Hell even C. Johnson almost got himself croaked by jumping into the wrong end zone seats! Talk about stupid!
PS: To that one poster that said that Anderson didn't do that bad against the Steelers, 34-7. Just what did he do right?

well, first off every team is going to have a bad day here and there... and the bengals/browns rivalry brings emotions into the game also, that even professional athletes can't always overcome. So before you count them out, you really should give them the benefit of the doubt on that game.

Well yesterday was good news for me. It definately showed that the Bungals have a huge hole in there secondary. I can not wait until the Steelers play them now. When they meet a team with a great defense, and one that will have the game won by halftime. The Bengals are no elite team. They can score points on crappy teams, but how will they match up against a good team?

Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They lost by six points. That's hardly getting "beat like a drum."

Since all three teams you've mentioned are now 1-1, I would guess it means none of them is particularly dominant over the others. The Browns are probably not as weak as you think they are, nor are the Ravens as strong.

It's also way too early in the season to say for sure.

Not a chance there not even an elite team in their own division anymore, in fact their pathetic, they let the browns score 51 points on them? Usually it takes the Browns 5 weeks to score that many points.
