my ipod is on a black screen with the apple icon in the middle,what do i do...?

It's stuck on that screen? Weird. Here's a few things to try:

1. Press and hold the play button to turn the iPod off.
2. Press and hold the center button and the play button.
3. Press and hold the center button and the Menu button.
4. If all else fails, wait until it dies. Then just recharge it and it will be good as new! :-]
