Credit Line Gold Card made an illegal debit from my checking. I never gave them authorization to debit my account of $200.00.

I bank with Bank of America and I'm not sure on the process of getting my money back. Can someone help me.

Go to your local bank branch, they will have an affidavit for you to fill out which will say that you did not authorize the debit to take place and they can get the money back for you. You may want to call the 800# that shows next to the debit on your statement first to see what it was for. Just in case you ordered something under a different name but their billing show up under Credit Line Gold Card. You have 100% liability protection on bank debit cards typically so if you didn't authorize it the bank can get it back.

If you are sure you never made any authorization, instead of calling the police, call the Credit Line Gold Card to find out the information and also get the information you can from your bank, if what they are saying isn't worth a thing to you, then you can invite the police.

Contact Bank of America, it could simply be a clerical error rather than a illegal debit. Please don't call the police - it is a civil matter and they would not have the time nor resources to help with this. Bank of American will have procedures in place to follow up on unrecognized or fraudelent activity.

Call your bank and dispute the debit.

Do you have that Gold Card? Or did you fill out an application for such a card? Sometimes these things are in the fine print when you get some free offer.

Call B of A and tell them. Good luck with them helping you though--I have never had good luck with B of A helping me at all.
Dispute the debit. Make them prove you authorized it. Call them and tell them to put the money back, or you will inform your bank and report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Unfortunately, you may not be able to recap this debit. However, you should immediately call your bank and place a block on automatic debits from this company. Most banks will charge a small fee to block future debits from a specific vendor. You should also inform your bank that this was an unauthorized transfer, and they will help you with the resolution.
