They are about to create a Hell on Earth

Just curious! I remember an America that would fight back, even against its own Government if needed.

What happened to our Nation?

When did the power shift from the tax paying voters to the Elite

When did this become a Nation of cowards instead of a Nation of free people backed by the Constitution

We are a free people. And we will prove it next year. Interesting, why do you call this a "hijacked Government" it has been proven several times that the vote both in 2000 and 2004 was legal. The decision of the High Court was the correct one. Why don't you find out the truth instead of listening to moveon.org and Democratic party propaganda. Perhaps you are being paid to ask this question by one of those 2 groups?

I am still here and I am not lying down for anyone. I am currently applying for a law enforcement job and my goal is to make sure all people's rights's are upheld under The U.S. constitution. I am here to protect the people I serve and make sure their rights's are upheld. "The 4th Amendment is my creed. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated. and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or afrimation, and particularily describing the place to be searched, and the person's or thing s to be seized".

When the liberals decided this country was no longer the Land of Opportunity but the Land of Entitlement and decided to punish the wealthy for working hard and taking risks while at the same time rewarding people for sloth and laziness.

When the liberals voted overwhelmingly in support of a war on terror based on information obtained while a liberal was in The White House and then decided to change gears with the fickle wind of public opinion and blame the current President for intelligence gathered before he ever took office.

When the liberals railed against a very limited invasion of privacy in the interest of national security then turned around and backed a very broad invasion of privacy that was tantamount to saying the American people are too stupid to make their own food choices.

When the liberals decried the practice of raising animals for food and started the mantra "meat is murder" but then turned around and said "my body, my choice" when it came to state-sanctioned murder of unborn children.

When the liberals made it en vogue for anyone who has ever been hurt or wronged in any way to cry and stomp their feet and wring their hands and say "I'm a victim!"

Wake up and smell the red tide -- our country is in much less danger of becoming the fascist regime you describe than it is in of becoming the next Soviet Union. Look around and see how the Democrats want to make everyone 100% reliant on the government and are pushing plans for more and more government control over the private citizen. This nation of cowards needs to stand up to its government and say "We can take care of ourselves -- we don't need you to take care of us." Only then will the government respect the fact that we the people are truly in control.

Our nation has gone to hell in a handbasket for a number of reasons.
1. Neocon control of one major political party (Karl Rove and his one party system like the Fascists or Communists)
2. Corporations have way too much say in our government (Lobbyists)
3. Citizens are complacent and allow this stuff to happen instead of taking charge of our government by being in constant contact with their Congressional reps.

In our Declaration of Independance it states that government exist on the consent of the governed. If we are turning into a 4th Reich it is because we are allowing it to happen. To stop this we must participate in our democracy or we will lose it.

Democracy-use it or lose it.

I feel your pain. I am wondering the same thing. You ask what has happened to our Nation? My gut feeling is that it is complacency. People do not feel like it is their responsibility to pay attention to the actions of the very people who make laws and spend out money and go to war in our name. I don't understand my fellow Americans. When they compain about something, I ask them what they are going to do about it. Almost every single person I know just stares at me and says "Nothing. We don't have the power." I urge people to come to demonstrations with me. To write and call their elected officials. Most of them think I'm nuts. I think they are sad. I think this country is sad. It's sad to say this, but no one will take action until something affects them personally. Like getting drafted to fight in a fake war for oil. Or losing their job or their home.......or finding out they have been spied on. Or tortured, etc.

the dems are diluting our society. you add twenty million+ plus no americans and it does have an affect. also the moderates of america need to speak up instead of letting the extremist from both side dictate policy.

spillmind - that's exactly the mindset that allows us to perpetuate the situation.

My answer is yes....
1) as long as people don't vote -- for whatever reason.
2) as long as people don't see problems as their own problems long enough to do anything about it.
