I don't have any real talent or special abilities, but I'd like to be famous. Any suggestions?

Dye your hair blonde, act very very very bizarre and make a video telling everyone to stop picking on a has-been celebrity who is making no progress in their battle against personal demons.
How about "leave Lindsay Lohan alone!" then go on a psychotic crying jag and post it on youtube!

You could always try to invent something that is commonly used, already, only your new invention would help to improve the overall performance of that product.
Example: Have you ever tried to pour the water out of a pan filled with veggies, without spilling the contents inside the pot all over the sink?
Someone thought of an easy solution to this problem, by inventing a top that has tiny holes in it and then when you went to pour the water out, you would just leave the top on the pot and the water would flow out and the contents of the pot would stay inside the pot.
Whoever invented that new product idea made a hefty bundle of money on his adaption to the performance of that product.
This is what I am talking about, here!
Instead of developing something for the kitchen, perhaps you use power tools on a regular basis, and while using the power tools you often say to yourself, why couldn't this be accomplished a lot better if it was to have_____? Having such an addition would make using this power tool that much easier for other people to use it.
I did this myself, only with a new type of energy system that I use to furnish my very large home with unlimited amounts of electricity. My partner David and I invented this system and we save thousands of dollars every month on utility bills, and started a company that is thriving in this new billion dollar market.
So, I hope this answer helps you to find your niche in this world and makes you not only famous but very wealthy as well.

You can be famous for being an idiot, like going on American Idol or something. Try getting on a reality or game show. or make a crazy video on you tube.

Post a video of yourself on YouTube doing stupid stuff, like dancing with a rubber chicken to Madonna's "Material Girl". I'm sure you'll get lots of hits.
