Most industrialize countries have some form of national health care. How successful they are depends on your criteria, but most have longer life expectancies than the US, and I do not know of any country where the people want to abolish it and return to privatized health care. Experts in the field rate France as the best for patient satisfaction, but it is the most expensive of the national systems, but still cost less than the US. From personal experience I prefer emergency care in London to the emergency care in the US cities I have lived in. In London they act to minimize your pain and misery. In the US they only make sure you do not die, and will leave you for hours without treatment with a broken bone.
