also from the 1408 book, about 20 pages, "everything you love will be washed away". It was good, also the only story I've had time to read from that book thus far. An older man is contemplating suicide but is torn as to the circumstances in which his body will be found. He's got a bit of an odd way to pass his time which factors in, without giving too much away. hope that helps. mike.

I loved the Road Virus Heads North (A picture that kills) from the short story collection Everything's Eventual. Actually I loved every short story in that collection, my favorites from it include:
Riding the Bullet(A hitchhiker picked up by a dead man)
Autopsy Room Four(going through an autopsy alive)
That Feeling, You Can Only Say What It Is In French(i can't explain really it's good though)
All That You Love Will Be Carried Away(not washed)-(contemplating suicide)
1408(GREAT!)(haunted hotel room)
Lunch At The Gotham Cafe (A guy is getting divorced and crazy stuff happens at his last lunch with his wife)
The Man In The Black Suit (the devil meets a little boy)
I also loved Jerusalem's Lot, I can't remember which collection it's in though.

I was never a huge King fan until my son and I listened to "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" on tape during a long road trip - every story was fabulous by I especially liked Dolan's Cadillac

Oh, man... there are soooo many great short stories to choose from. My recent favorite is "1408" from the "Everything's Eventual" anthology, which they made into a movie. Haunted hotel room.

Dolan's Cadillac is great. About a Hitman who contrives a hit along a highway in Nevada that's under construction. Really good tale.

"Gramma" is a very good, very creepy short story in the King anthology "Skeleton Crew". It's about a young boy that's left alone in the house with his ailing grandmother. Grandmother's dying, but before she goes she wants to pass on a little something to her grandson...creepy good stuff.
Happy reading to you! :-)

THE MIST
is fabulous and spooky.
for some reason, mist starts spreading across a community. people who walk into it usually die loud deaths. and things seem to diasappear into the myths. and THINGS seem ot be coming out of the mist.

In all honesty, there are so many grammar and spelling errors it's almost impossible to read.
