If you mean weightless it's because there is no gravity in space.
We can do so on earth by visiting NASA and going to the room in which they reproduce a space environment.

I think they would wait more on earth rather than wait less. After all, in space they have a whole group of people on the earth waiting to help them. This is more or less true of any space travelers.

It may suprise you to find out that they feel weightless because they are constantly falling! When you throw a baseball it takes a curved path to the ground. Imagine throwing a baseball so fast that the curverature of its fall matches the curverature of the Earth. It would keep falling and never hit the ground.

In space there is no gravity. On Earth there is. Lack of gravity makes you feel weightless. To achieve that on Earth you would have to do something like free fall I guess.

You feel weightless but you're not. You still weigh the same and the pull of gravity is almost the same.
The reason things seem weightless is due to the centrifugal force of going around in a circle at 18,000 mph+ offsets the pull of gravity same as if you tied a bucket of water to a rope you could swing it around completely upside down and the water would stay in the bucket
Centrifugal Force

They are in free fall. There is almost as much gravity in orbit as there is on the ground, because orbit really isnt that far out.
We have airplanes that fly up high and dive almost straight down for astronaugt training. This simulates weightlessness.
You can feel it on a rollercoaster when you are going down a steep section.
Also you can feel it to a small extent on an elevator. Its that quesy light feeling while you are going down.
Most people believe there is no gravity in space, which is absolute hogwash, however, I blame the public school systems for that one.

Probably because there is no gravity in space. They dont feel weightless when the space shuttle is still on earth.

First, i'll assume u mean WEIGHTLESS................
frm the eqxn.... w= mg, g is negligible in space so watever your mass is, when multiplied by zero gives you zero.
and u only feel weightless, u're not actually weightless.
to achieve a feeling of weightlessness on earth, u might hv to recreate space conditions.

They feel weightless because there isn't gravity in space. We can get the same feeling on earth on an airplane that drops suddenly and regains acceleration
