Thats a bunch of crap. Christmas doesnt change what they did or give magic passes for those who betray you.To try such a stunt indicates that they still dont want to be personally responsible for their behavior.

I think that Jesus' example conquers even the most hardened hearts, as evidenced by their attempts to atone for their past misdeeds and their efforts at reconciliation...the fact that this happens during a commemoration of His birth is especially gratifying. I gathered from the tone of your question that maybe you find this a bit hypocritical, but life works on all of us causing us to grow and evolve in our own space and time...people can, and do, change. The question is, will you? Forgiveness is often difficult...that's one of the primary challenges of living. But it's important to forgive, not for the sake of the wrong-doer, but for your own sake so that you are not forever burdened by the emotional wreckage of crap done to you, because as you're carrying it around, you relive it everytime you think about it. There's no better way in the world to please a person who seeks to destroy you than to keep the pain they gave you fresh in your mind. Forgiveness takes this burden away from you, and frees you to experience life without a monkey on your back. Now, what are you thinking about doing?

1. Depends upon your courage of conviction, character, discretion, wisdom and skills, as compared to that of the other person / persons involved.
2. Also depends on, social support you get, based on how you convince society with your own, "integrity of character and personality."

I do hate that. Why can't they make amends with you before that. They do it for them self so they feel better that's all.

I forgive them and may let them in to my life in a limited capacity, but I never, ever trust them again.
