1) The Bengals offense is really good, and the Browns defense is lousy. That's pretty evident from last season.

2) The Bengals defense is poor and gave too much confidence to the Browns offense during the game.

The Browns offense is usually lousy, but they controlled the line of scrimmage. I think the combination of a lousy home opener and a bad Bengals defense contributed to a much improved offensive line. The Browns spent a lot of money on that OL, so it finally showed during the game.

I think Derek Anderson makes faster decisions than Charlie Frye. Much has been said about Anderson's stronger arm but limited mobility over Frye, but decision making is the biggest part of being a QB. Peyton Manning doesn't have the strongest arm and isn't mobile, but he makes decisions so quickly. QB play definitely improved this week.

I think Anderson's performance has earned him four free passes (= QB starts). If he sucks in the next four games (1-3 or 0-4), we will see Brady Quinn in game 7. If he's 2-2 or better, I can see Anderson starting for the rest of the season.

The GM and head coach of Cleveland are under a microscope. I think they would rather win than start experimenting with Quinn this season.

For one the Bengals do have a great offense... that's been proven in the past and it showed up in this game. However i dont feel that they deserved all the points that they got anyways. TJ's touchdown pass was obviously not a touchdown and bad calls led them in a few other scoring drives. I'm sick of hearing the browns defense is among the worst in the league etc... cause that is simply not true. Their defense usually keeps them in the game... its their offense that usually loses it for them. Not the case on sunday. Point being... bengals offensive is that good.

Again i'm sick of everyone not giving the brown any credit here. Its so easy to just point at the bengals and say "D sucks no wonder the browns did that". If you think about it, being a browns fan or not, they've made all the right moves in the offseason and have been working on an A rate offensive for a few years now. They have multiple weapons, Edwards, Winslow, Cribbs, Lewis, and Jervicious and the only thing that's been lacking is the QB. This was the first time their true colors were shown. I'm not sure if Anderson is the answer, we'll have to see how consistent he is, but besides that point if brady is half as good as everyone says he is, you can be sure to expect alot out of the browns in the near future. With all that being said i don't think it either or. The bengals have a below average D however even the worst D shouldn't give up 51. It was a combo of poor D being suprised by a good offense just now starting to click.

The Bengals offense is good, but not that good. The Browns defense is pretty bad. The Steelers scored 34 on the Browns which included no passes for the last quarter just to run out the clock. They could have easily scored 45 or more if they wanted to.

The Bengals defense is that bad. The only way they can stop anyone is to force a turnover. When they don't, you get 51 points scored.

The Browns offense was playin' like they discovered a new wonder drug, too bad they didn't share it with their defense. The Bungals offense had a few good moments as well, but you expect it from them, especially when they're playing against a no name defense. What makes me laugh is that the Bungals "defense" was thought to have taken a big step up because they beat the Ravens on week 1. WOW, did anybody stop to think that the Ravens don't really have an offense? McNair is injury prone & Boller is about as threatening as a statue. They don't have a ground game & only 1 decent receiver, Heap. So exactly how much offense did the Bungals have to stop? The Browns showed the world that the Bungals defense could give up the farm to a bunch of Ray Charles wannabees.

1. A little of both. The Bengals offense really is that good. Carson is a strong QB with great accuracy and it certainly doesn't hurt that's he's throwing to two strong Wide Receivers. Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh have played together for years in the NFL and even before that in college for Chad and T.J.

2. The Bengals defense, on the other hand, is just that bad. Even though they played well in the preseason and during week one's victory over the Ravens, it's always rocky for their D. Year after year they have really on games, like week one, and really off games like yesterday.

Any way I goes, I wouldn't credit the Browns with have a great offense.

Bungles offense = AWESOME! I don't like them, but I give it to them, Carson Palmer is a great quarterback.

Bungles defense = NONEXISTENT! They've always had a porous defense, and yesterday they proved that they couldn't stop a crawling 7 month old from having a 100 yard game. Seriously, the Browns put up 51 points. After the Steelers thumped them last week, people pegged them as finally being the team to go a perfect 0-16. Hell, I didn't think they could put up 51 points in their first 10 games combined.

That's my 2 for 2.

i think trading Frye had a lot to do with it . Because that was the 1st game he was gone and the first time Browns beat the Bengals in the last 4 years.

I don't know. I was too busy watching the Steelers beat up on the Bills.

But I did hear that Chad Johnson went into the dog pound... Maybe the beer shower slowed him down enough to give the Browns an advantage?

I think the trading of Frye did a lot, too. Now Anderson had to step up, knowing that he could be on a plane tomorrow heading to New Orleans.
