I love stories like this. It's more evidence that diversity is a failure.

I'm very aware of the incident I believe the case should be throwed out all together, it shows that racism still is current in America.
The Nuse shouldn't have been on the tree all of the kids should have gotten suspended and returned to school or some type of action should have been taken with all
Al Sharpton and the rest of the community action groups did right if this incident did not get the media's attention then gentleman would still be in prison being charged as a adult..
Sometimes you have to include the Media! ask yourself what if you were that young man
A tree is a tree it does belong to any race, creed God made the Trees

I think it's crappy the way these 6 young men are being treated. Declaring their shoes as deadly weapons? Charging the one young man for theft of the firearm that could have easily killed him? Seriously? That town, that superintendent, that principle, the DA - all those folks have serious problems. They are obviously clutching at straws to make this whole ordeal out to be more than what it really was just so they can take away the lives of these young men.
I don't buy that the white kid was almost beaten to death - he was released from the hospital the SAME day he was admitted for his injuries. If someone is close to death, they are certainly not walking out of that hospital on their own accord, hours later.
Hanging three nooses is not a prank. Pranks are harmless or funny. That was neither.
This just illustrates the fact that racism is alive and well in America. People need to wake up and smell the injustice.

I think you all are missing the point. Those kids were wrong for what they did no doubt. The point is that being charged for attempted murder is far too harsh. I'm tired of you all jumping on the backlash wagon just because Al Sharpton is involved. Get your facts straight before getting yourselves in a hissy. If those kids were white, they would have gotten an assault charge if they would have even been charged at all. THAT'S THE POINT!!!!

I feel like that if you've got a special tree in town or on the school campus that's known as "the white tree", then you've got a community with some serious racial issues. And I might add that I'm white. But I like to also be right.
