Yes, this comes in groups, maybe Rush had a few words to say, of course he has insurance.
I hope now, thirteen years later, forty-seven million uninsured later, no improvement in anyway, we will have learned to look askance at the purveyors of fear. We need it, we are the only industrialized country without it, we are, as a nation in the middle of the chart for infant mortality and lifespan. Here, not in some third world country, but here where we have the best facilities in the world, as long as you can afford it.
Lets use our heads, look at the others, take the best from each system and implement it. Then we can truly start being proud of our country.

You should have watched 20/20 on Friday night. There really is a reason that the leaders of other countries come to the USA for medical care when they have a serious illness.

Also, with Universal health care, you get to a certain age where the government will not pay to save you if the costs are too high. I don't think Americans will stand for health care that lets you die because it costs too much to save you when you are older.

Be careful what you ask for people - you just might get it.

The answer to putting out a grease fire is NOT to pour gasoline on it. The health care mess we have now is bad enough, letting the government bozos get control of our health care (which is what the term "universal health care" is a smokescreen for) will simply make things unimaginably worse Ever been to a government-run clinic? The sewer would be more sanitary, and if the racist minority clerk at the counter doesnt like your skin color, you will have to see a whole series of supervisors to get anything done. All this is based on personal experience. It would be better to go to your friendly neighborhood witchdoctor.

It is something a socialist or communist country would do.

Every American is brought up believing that communism and socialism are evil.

Therefore, universal health care is evil. That is all there is to it.

Edge Caliber: You make a strong point. I want to see the rebuttle to that one.

No. Hillary made a speech calling for mandatory health insurance for everyone.

Which is a dumb idea--politically and policy-wise. I think she's going to have to revise this one!

Universal healthcare is dangerous, slow, and less effective than our healthcare system.

The government can't run the country, why could they run a complicated multifaceted healthcare system?
