Calling a time out just before the kick? And then having the re-kick hit the top of the post?

I say ROBBERY!

I hate both teams, but, the Broncos did what they do best. Timing baby. They iced Janakowski. He should have made it the second time. I hated it. Its not right, but its legal

Icing the kicker is when you call a time out to make him think about the kick. What happened yesterday was calling a timeout after the play had already started.

They never should have been granted the timeout because the whistle blew when the ball was in the air. The timeout wasn't granted before the ball was snapped.

Raiders should have won the game....not the Broncos.

A rule is a rule.. and nothing the Broncos did yesterday was illegal. I do agree with you though, Oakland was screwed of a win yesterday and the NFL needs to make a rule change so this doesn't happen again. Is "icing" the kicker really that big of an advantage to a team?

thats football if janakowski misses the first FG and makes the second would you say the Broncos got robbed. of course not because that is a commonly used tactic in football.

Thats called "icing" the kicker.

Its a very commen, and a good way for the defense to try to get into the kickers head.

A good kicker should not let it effect him.
