Dr. J, good luck pitching around Pedroia to get to Ortiz.
I don't think you'd be a manager for very long.
Pedroia wins the ROY, hands down.
Someone explain to me why Young should be given the award because he plays on a bad team. If where you play matters, then you HAVE to give it to Pedroia, due to the fact he plays in a packed house each night - in a pennant race. AKA, much more pressure.

Dustin Pedroia is definitely the best candidate.
HOWEVER
He should have approximately 16 errors this season. Instead, he only has 6.
Time after time, they don't give Dustin the error. They're doing this just so he will win the rookie award. Why just the other day, they gave Lugo the error on an obviously terrible flip by Pedroia .
If the umpires and score keppers weren't so biased, then I'd say Pedroia should win it. But since they are, Padroia doesn't deserve it.

Dustin Pedroia should definately be AL Rookie of the Year. He's having the best year of any rookies.
And to the person that said he is batting 300%....huh? Don't you mean .300 which would be 30%. If he got a hit every single at bat, he'd be batting 1.000 or 100% then. C'mon! I know it was probably an honest mistake ;)

Pedroia is a good pick or it could go to Dice-K if he can win a few more before the end of the season. Brian Bannister 12-8-3.39 on Kansas City is in the running but Pedroia looks like the guy.

i totally agree with you. Pedroia will be the Rookie of Year unless some rookie does something amazing over the final few games of the season.

Delmon Young period.
Dustin Pedroia's numbers:
.322 7-hr's 49-rbi's 78-runs 6-steals 154-hits
Delmon Young's numbers:
.293 12-hr's 87-rbi's 62-runs 8-steals 175-hits
Now imagine what Pedroia's numbers would look like in Tampa Bay and what Young's numbers would look like in Boston.
I can't believe how the media has hyped up Pedroia to the fans thinking he's the leading candidate when he's not.

Delmon Young's numbers are simply way better than Pedroia's across the board and he plays on team that's in last place.

Brian Bannister and Delmon Young should also receive consideration, but I think Pedroia will take it.
