About 7 years ago, i worked for a department store and got caught stealing something. I know, horrible, terrible.. and so dumb. It was seven years ago and have MOST DEF. learned a lesson from it. I got charged with petit larceny and the department store has banned me from going back. It's hard to say with that already being said that I'm a good person, but I am. That was the only and last time I have done ANYTHING illegal... I want to be able to go back to that store and shop, how do i get permission so i don't get charged with trespassing??? please help!!!!

A lawyer will not help you, the store owner can not be ordered to let you in.

I would suggest a letter to the manager, accepting full responsibility, and stressing the fact you learned from the mistake and have not gotten in trouble since. If 7 years has gone by, it is very likely they will allow you back.

As indicated by other posters, you would need to contact the store manager to see if they approved and they may not; if they don't go there as your risk begin arrested, yes, even after 7 years, charged with not only tresspassing, but being public nuisance/disorderly conduct, if any employees that worked there at the time remember you and your being banned , or your pic is still posted in the employee room as people who are banned from the store.

You will have to get permission from the store. You could write a letter to the store in question and request it. It would seem that after seven years though, you wouldn't be remembered in that fashion. I think you called it "petit" larceny, but it's called 'petty', not petit,(crap, I looked it up and its the same thing, duh) and if I remember correctly, there is no such thing anymore, it's just called larceny. Otherwise, get in touch with an attorney to find out for sure your options.

a pal of mine makes espresso...his nickname is JAM. I make tarts, and that i'm of direction Mazzy.... JAMAZZY became into going to be a acceptance of a "dream" espresso abode/ cake save that offered the suited brewed espresso and the main decadent tarts you had ever seen.... this style of shame that dream ought to in no way be a actuality as i'm helpful it could have been a fantastic corporation!!

Have you done any volunteer work for local charities or civic organizations? A letter of reference from the president of such a group to the store might help convince them that you have changed. Letters of reference from teachers, employers, etc. could help also.

good luck.

I can't believe you would still worry about it. It was 7 years ago. No one will recognize you. Most of the employees have probably changed. Just put on some sunglasses and go shop. The worst that would happen is that they would ask you to leave.

Chances are that they have forgot. ie: the manager's, security officer's, and employees have all changed. I personally would just shop. They watch everyone, if you're not stealing or acting suspicious, they will leave you alone.

A Lawyer:

Unless the corporate / store manager rescinds your ban, there is nothing legally you can do.

Call them and ask for the manager. Otherwise ask a lawyer.
