If you have difficulty expressing yourself in person, try calling on the phone or write a letter, or email. That way, when you see the girl next time, you have already sent fillers or advance notice about what you feel for her and all you have to do when you meet her again in person is to smile and hold her hands... Good luck.

It could well be the fact that you know you're going into the Army so you don't want the stress of having to maintain a relationship with someone "left behind back home". That's somewhat understandable, but you should realize that having a date or two doesn't necessarily constitute a relationship. Deeper still, you may genuinely be commitment phobic. Only you can answer that with any degree of certainty, but you don't want your life to be a fear-based existence on any level, so some personal introspection is in order.

you might not be ready for a relationship at this time...

just because you are 'dating' doesn't mean you have a committment either. it's OK to date more than one person at the time, as well.

you are young. live your life.

and good luck in the army. take care ok?
