i am a grown adult living on my own... No i wouldn't share a plan. Wouldn't sharing a cell phone plan contradict the purpose of the whole "living on your own" thing? And how would it sacrifice your privacy? It's not as if they have to live in your house in order to be on the plan....

There is very little privacy sacrificed except for the sharing of the phone bill. You all have your own phones and numbers. All you share is the minutes.

I added my parent onto my plan. It is not like they are listening in on the calls you make or recieve. Besides cell phone plan prices are ridiculous. We know that we can not have gab fest all day long with someone outside our network because we all understand about the minutes. I don't see the big deal

How is it sacrificing your privacy? They would get their own cell phone. I would be more concerned about having to share minutes! I'd worry about them going over and leaving the responsibility of paying the overages on you....

I do that and I get the bill. I don't see what needs to be so private anyway, they are just phone numbers. If you can't trust your parents that they won't bug you about stuff like that then it's a different story.

I am a grown adult living at home with my crazy family. We like to depend on each other for everything (especially party favors and toilet paper) so yeah, I'd do it.

i do.

Im the primary, my mother, and younger handicapped sister are on my plan. They send me checks every month. I dont do it to save myself money, i do it to save THEM money as well as the hassle of handling the technical and billing stuff, as neither of them are good at that. I activate the phones, i pick out the phones, i teach them how to use the phones. Its one thing i can do to help them after they helped me out for so many years.
