Hi I nor any of my 4 bro's and sisters have God parents!
Ive never really understood the point to be fair, I doubt ill give my kids God parents, they'll have me and their mum not to mention their grand parents thats all they will need.
Although I am not against it! Just not something my family does for some reason!!

I think God Parents are more of a honor these days than they were years ago. 3 of my 4 children have godparents (they all are doing horrible jobs not remembering birthdays, holidays etc)

Hi again..as I said in previous post 3 of my children have Godparents and 2 don't. If something happens to my husband and I it is stated in our will to leave our children to my husbands cousin and his wife as we feel they are the best to raise our children. Our parents are getting to old to do so. My husbands siblings passed away and my siblings are useless.

I don't know how many kids are like this. We didn't pick any god parents. We named a guardian for our son in our wills. It's the same function, but without the religious aspect.
