Does a student have to have already a degree in order to get their certificate? For example, if I graduate with a Bachelors in Economics and want to get my certificate for a different major like computer science. Or there's no requirement for the certificate other than taking the core courses?

Thanks.

A certificate is similar to an AA (Associates of Arts) degree, but more focused upon the course material and less general ed.

Nope, you don't need a degree to obtain a certificate.
