when you got older? That is, being far away from senior services offered (transportation, doctors/hospitals, grocery stores, trash services, etc.)

Nope. Didn't. We bought a place near the lake, which is great. Fantastic view, lovely beach, etc.

We do have trash services here. So far, we can drive to town for groceries, doctors. Have fantastic neighbors and have made friends here. Hopefully, if we needed the help, someone would be there. Also, we are currently available to help others.

We found our piece of Paradise in the country years ago. Now others have discovered it as well and life is not quite the same.

On the plus side, our property value has almost tripled so that helps out with the nest egg when we decide to sell.

no it dont really matter,as long as we have a place to call home.i live in the mountains but i am still only 15 minutes away from everything.life in the rural community.

My parents built this house in 1959. It is in a great location if you are able to drive, but nothin within walking distance.
