Illinois is a pretty wide-ranging state. Down south it get's a little bit country. I think Chicago is stereotyped as as largely Polish (which it is), and characterized as being like the sports fans on Saturday Night Live ("Da Bears"), and having strong ties to and long history of mob corruption.

You know what, I can't really think of any stereotypes in Indiana and I've lived here my whole life. Well, except for the fact that everyone considers us Yankees (what does that mean anyway?). lol Am I really that oblivious!?
I sure can think of some for Arkansas though (where my in-laws are from), but I'll be nice.

well I live in Canada so we don't have states we have provinces and in my province it is that immigrants can't drive. Let me tell you I live in am immigrant area and they all drive down the middle of the road because there is no yellow line to divide the two sides. But I think they think they just own the road

That all New Yorkers are fast talking and fast moving. You can believe this until you go to a fast food restaurant and find out how long it takes. Because they really don't care about you. that's another one that is true.

All of the Coloradoans that live in Fort Collins and Loveland are mostly 'well-to-do'..
It's not really a stereotype.. It's just true.. and I'm proud of it.
