well, seriously, if you really want to be scared give these few a try, they are all my personal favorites!
"Carrie" starring Sissy spacek-based on stephen king novel! terrifying and not much gore and good acting and believeable!
"Psycho" starring anthony perkins and janet leigh
"Rosemary's baby" starring mia farrow-will totally scare you!
"The shining"-starring jack nicholson-another stephen king thriller-very scary! still cant watch it to this day
another good one, that i highly recommend is "The Gift" starring Cate Blanchett! I can totally promise scary results on this one, not bloody, extremely horrifying and excellent acting and story line! this movie will never lose your interest! it is about a woman with psychic abilities! katie holmes and keanu reeves also are in it! please watch it!

Some scary movies that don't go overboard on the blood and gore:
The Others (2001, stars Nicole Kidman)
The Sixth Sense (1999, Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment)
White Noise (2005, Michael Keaton)
Panic Room (2002, Jodie Foster)
The Ring (2002, Naomi Watts)
The Grudge (2004, Sarah Michelle Gellar)

If you like horror movies with so much blood and lots of dead men you should watch:
- Series of "Friday the 13th" movies (from 1980)
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=friday+the+13th
- Series of "Hellraiser" movies (from 1987)
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=hellraiser
- Nightmare movies (From 1984)
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=nightmare
- Scream (1996), The Path of Evil (2005), Tool-box Murders (2004-http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=Tool-box+Murders ), See no evil (2006),...
I like those movies but I still be afraid when I watch them again.

The Messengars was really good, also Disturbia gave me a few jumps. Not too much blood in either movie.
