As a general rule, most people say graphics card upgrades on a laptop are impossible just to keep from getting people's hopes up.
I've heard that there are external graphics cards that use USB, but I think that it might be intended to use in conjunction with an external monitor and finding one may lead you on a quest of mythic proportions. A unicorn may be easier to find.
If you are a serious gamer it might be worthwhile to get a resonable desktop (a good processor is the most vital part) and then juice it up with RAM and Video Card upgrades. If you just have one game that you want to try, then maybe you can load the game on a friend's machine in order to play it for the time being.

What you want is SO EASY to do on a desktop PC but next to impossible on a laptop. You can't find that card for a laptop anywhere.

Ok, you might not believe me, but depending on your laptop you may be able to. If your graphics card is a chipset integrated into your laptop's motherboard, forget it. If, however you have a motherboard with a PCI Express videocard connector(PCI-E) you can find certain "mobile" video cards and you could update your rig.
