The sky that we see is refractive light from the sum affected by the atmosphere - so the "blue" sky that we see must be earth shaped.... roughly spherical.

However, we cannot see the sky at night therefore it must be more of a hemi-spherical shape as the "blue" sky will only appear on 1 side of the earth at any time.

CHAV, the sky is blue! Some say that it is round and covers the whole earth! I believe from my knowledge, only that's not much I guess! But the Sky is a continuous strait flat plain in all directions, there is no end to the Sky! Have a good week ! Jimmy.

the sky takes up the shapes that the millions of clouds made, so to speak, the sky has the shapes of what the clouds can produce.

As you stand outside and look directly up it is curved in all directions from the zenith above you to the horizons - like you're inside a ball, for example - but it's actually all made of gasses.

the shape of the sky is based on the way you look and think about it. If you said flat, it was based on the ground, if you think it is slightly/spherical, you based it on the Earth's shape.
LOL, hope this was a unuseful piece of info...
