Very pretty name although not common at this time. More common in the 70's I would say. Like Linda, Susan, Cathy, Diane, Kim, etc. Doesn't make me think of lesbians at all. I don't know what is wrong with all of these people who would say something like that!

For some reason I associate Leslie with a tomboy- less feminine. Perhaps because I knew a Leslie that was a great tennis player.

A girl named Leslie who I knew and hated in primary school. I dislike unisex names in general.

I think of the elegant Leslie Caron (gorgeous French actress from the 50's and 60's though she still does some cameo's today...still looking beautiful) or I think of the funny, leggy Leslie Ann Warren. Both beautiful, charasmatic and talented women. Not such a bad legacy to follow now is it?! Congratulations on the baby and best of luck to you!

I've never cared for it. I don't like the 'lez' sound in a lot of names, from Leslie, Lester, etc. It makes me think of Leslie Nielsen, the Naked Gun actor.

I actually like this name. I have a cousin named Leslie so I think of an amibitious blonde when I hear it.

I went to school with lots of leslie's (it must have been a popular name in the early 80's) so it seems very common to me. Inevitably they will get teased by being called "lezzie" though, so be aware of that.

I know a lot of people with that name. Only one of them is a pretty, young woman. All others are of a much older generation. So, I have the associations of a homely woman in her 40s or 50s, working some sort of administrative job.
