my son is 6 weeks old now and before i was just giving breastmilk but i thought i wasnt getting enough so i am now giving the breast and after giving him some formula..
well since i have been doing this he has only been pooping 1-2 times a day.. but it is a 2 diapers full!... ( i change him when i notice the diaper is full and then he poops again right away in the new diaper and fills that one up to)...
well is this normal? or should i worry?...
(before with only breast milk he would poop about 6 times in 24 hrs)

Your sons' digestive system is only 6 weeks old too and its' just figuring out how to work, especially with the introduction of formula.
You shouldn't be overly concerned with the amount of poopy diapers that your child has, you should be looking at the actual poo when they do have a dirty diaper. My doctor told me the frequency of stools in babies isn't a sign of constipation, it's the texture.
So, basically if your baby's poo is soft and pliable than no need to worry. If its' hard than he's consitpated and you need to take him to see the doctor.
Good luck!

Wow! You go through a lot of diapers!! 1-2 times a day is normal. That amount of poop, I don't know if it's okay, I can't imagine that it's not, though.

Breastmilk is easier to digest; accordingly, formula can cause constipation, especially when the child is accustomed to breastmilk. If it's still soft, though, you have nothing to worry about. It is perfectly normal for an infant to go 3-5 days without having a bowel movement, as long as it is still soft when it comes out. If you start to notice what looks like 'rabbit pellets', call the doctor. Otherwise, it's fine.

You have to understand that the baby's digestive system has a lot to get used to so when you do an abrupt change in his feeding, there will be an abrupt digestive reaction. As long as the poop is nothing solid and came out regular, there shouldn't be anything to worry about but if you sense something's wrong, then check out with you pd.. never take chances when it comes to your precious one..
