No, I would not order the salad. There is usually a choice of soup or salad offered with a meal...go for the soup. Also, you could ask for another side salad which could be fruit, cottage cheese or coleslaw, you wont know unless you ask and it wouldn't hurt to explain your situation so they can offer other options.

May be it really is the pestisides used on the lettuce you are allergic to and not the lettuce itself so I'm not sure what I would do I'm not in that situation. Sad lettuce is good for you well maybe not for you though.

This may sound strange, but I am allergic to the stuff they put on lettuce in restaurants to keep it crispy. I sometimes forget and eat it anyway because it isn't life threatening but then I have to take medication for it.

Probably not, because salad is mostly lettuce, and if I were allergic, that wouldn't make very much sense.

If spinach leaf isn't part of the allergy I'd ask if they could substitute it for the lettuce and have my salad.

I've had gf's that were allergic to lettuce and they loved having their salads tossed!
