A combination of both. Notre Dame was dead worng for firing Willingham not because how he performed, but because what they did after him. Willingham has a successful first year, wether it be because of his coaching or past recruits who knows? He goes 10-3, 5-7 and 6-5. avg 7 wins a season. Is that good? no. So you fire him. So than you bring in Charlie fat boy first season he doesn't go 10-3 he goes 9-3 and what do you do? sign him to an exstension. Hmm why not do the same with Tyrone. Well anyway because of the bckwards way the have went about the coaching situation they deserve what they are getting. Hell they should have kept O'leary. Who cares if h was a liar. 3rd season at ucf, first season 9 wins second season 4 this season beat nc state and took texas down to wire. So I am happy that Notre Dame sucks because they are given everyting: their wn channel, trips to bcs and their coach gets to choose from 50 plus players to eat plus practice squads

Weis is a joke. the self-proclaimed 'offensive guru' has led his team to zero TD's in 3 games.
The only real success he's had at Notre Dame was with Ty Willingham's players.

According to Charlie Weiss on 60 Minutes, he CANNOT be out-coached. So it must have something to do with global warming, or the U.S. economy, or the Taliban.
