The War (Kevin Cosnter and Elijah Wood), I know the film is about the fathers struggle to get back to normal life after serving in the Vietnam war but its the story lines that focus on the rival gangs of kids that really touched me, especially the scene where Elijah rescues the youngest kid from the rival gang after he falls in the water tower.

well its not the most moving and powerful movie i have ever seen but its in my top 5 for definite:

apocolypto by mel gibson was fantastic, when my boyfriend wanted to rent it out i was kinda against it as i thought it would be another boring man film, but it surprised me and i actually at one point had a lump in my throat trying to hold back the tears. moving film.

see it if you havent already!

Champions,it was about Bob Champion who was a jockey who fought cancer and a horse called aldaniti who was considered lame and was going to be put down.Bob Champion and the horse made a comeback by winning the hardest horse race in the world which was the British grand national against all odds.It taught me that with determination you can achieve anything.

Divided We Fall. (2001)
Set in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia, and based on a true story, this 'near perfect' film is funny and yet utterly inspiring. The use of the beautiful aria: 'Erbarme Dich' from The St Matthews passion by Bach, at the end is, thankfully not lost on this film.

I thought Dead Man Walking was a pretty powerful movie.

For those who haven't seen it, it deals with capital punishment, but it is not preachy and it's not even for or against it. It is just a situation that makes you see every side of the process and let's you make your own conclusions.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who is unsure of their feelings about capital punishment and I'd recommend it to people who do have a very clear and defined opinion of it because I think it is important to see the whole picture.

Part of this has to be the time in your life.
I am Old so here goes.
First was "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne.
Then "SHANE" with Alan Ladd
Then with MY Children the first "Superman"
mainly for the Music.
Then with my Grandchildren "Lord of the Rings"
for the amazing effects.
and now we have "Imax"
I look forward to taking my Great Grandchildren to "Who Knows" but it will be awesome!
