It's all about global warming.
It's a movie that tells about global catastrophe. It's a warning to us human not to underestimate the fury of nature.

Excellent movie. Yes, weather CAN change that fast. Haven't you heard about the woolly mammoth that was found in Siberia several years ago? He froze so quickly that there was still food in his stomach and native pollens and such on his skin and hair. Explain that with a slow change in the weather. Even now the ocean currents are changing due to the fresh water diluting the oceans salinity as the poles and glaciers melt. Who says that the Day after Tomorrow is so far off the track? Gives one pause to think, doesn't it?

makes you wonder about a future that could happen
a short ice age is possible, i heard on the news that what where experiencing right now is not a global warming effect.
this guy on the news says that in the near future we will go through what is called a solor winter. let me explain this. the sun goes through solar cycles every 20 years or so and when we hit solar winter the earth will cool down maybe even another little ice age will occur. so, that's what i think about the movie.

Unlikely, but possible. The next ice age is a certainty, it's just a question of when. The human race will probably perish before that happens though. We're already running out of fish in the ocean, depleting natural resources, and the Earth's population is exploding. We probably will not see an ice age.

Kinda puzzled by the events there...like the world's climate gone haywire because there was too much sunlight that melted the ice caps....which made the world freeze over. Kinda oppsite of the global warming trend

I thought it was pretty good. A little extreme, I doubt the weather could change THAT dramatically in a space of a few weeks. But yeh, it was interesting and scared the heck outta me.

Class A movie! Love it. Yes, I know all the science that says it can't happen that fast. DUH. Nonetheless, it does present a scenario that can play out over the decades. Did you read that the North West Passage is open now? Subscribe to physorg.com. Email me anytime. I follow science news daily.

I'd say we will either drown or freeze if we continue to pollute but on the good side we will loose the french and germans! The film was good.

I WILL TELL YOU NEXT WEEK. I am busy the day after tomorrow.

Have just seen Walter Pidgeon in Flypast.

Tom Mix in Cement.

Both excellent - if only to hear the music.
