When he was with the Phillies, GM Lee Thomas said, "One day out of five, he's a horse; the other four, he's a horse's @$$." And that was before the whole country knew. And he's already talking about getting out of that little green pinball machine known as Fenway Park. Even people who aren't Yankee Fans have to like that Schilling got taken downtown like the inbound Green Line last night.

Alphie, he is in due to the bloody sock, it sits nexxt to barrys set of needles. Jeter is probably in there also, i think he might be on a couple of winning world series teams.

That stat was incredible, Jeter hits over .400 with 2 outs and men in scoring position. Who does not want this guy?

If you dont, your hatred has clouded your vision like darth Vader.

Schilling is not hated by me, I invite him to pitch as often as he can against the yankees. Love that gas can.

I remember as a Phillie he told the media that he had every intention of retiring as a Phillie! I recall the press conference vividly. Five days later he was a D-Back! I lived in South Jersey at the time and although I'm a life long Yankee fan I would follow the Phillies because they were so close to home. He was always the first to pop off about the ineptitude of his teammates and would publicly scorn Mitch Williams every chance he got. Talk about a guy who was a "Legend In His Own Mind" Schilling was that guy.

I'm glad he left Philadelphia and despised him even more when he became a Red Sox. Anytime this guy loses a game is a good day and if it happens to be the Yankees who beat him, all the better!!!

Why do people hate Schilling so much?

Sure, he bashes the Yankees, bashes players, and even his own team mates at times. But for some reason I can't hate him. I was a big fan of his back before he was on the sox, so it's really hard for me to hate him.

On a side note, he looks just my grandfather.

The only thing better would have been for him to have hit a 94 miles per hour fastball off of Shillings forehead and left the imprint of the stitches there as a reminder.

Up till that point he pitch an outstanding game. If Clemens hadn't match his performance the outcome would have been different. It's not like he gave up 20 hits or something. Your just another yankee fan showing your @ss by not having a clue.

I'd agree with that. I wonder what all the fans that say Jeter is just average and overrated thought about it.

Does anyone know what Alfie is writing about? I wonder what color the sky is in his world.

Plus, I loved the way Joba Chamberlain was jumping around and cheering!
