It is worse when he is upset he has rosy checks. He has not got any on his body but a few here and there on his legs. It is mainly on his face and lower arms.

That's one for the doctor. Worst case scenario, he could have an immune system problem.

Is he running a fever for more than 5 days, have really red eyes, or peeling hands or feet? If he has some of those symptoms along with the rash it could be Kawasaki Disease. My son got it back in May. But most likely it is just a rash, take him to the doctor to rule out any major things.

Darlin', whenever one's child has a rash such as this, it's time to go to the doctor, not waste time on-line and not even post a pic so we can see what you're talking about. It could be eczema, it could be Fifth's Disease, it could be Foot and Mouth...It could be ANYTHING, including food allergies and an overly acid condition. It could also be glutein intolerance and he could be discharging drugs through his extremities (ie a reaction to an antibiotic). NO ONE will be able to tell you except your doctor, b/c we haven't seen this rash. Now please: Get off the computer, and call your MD or ND. Thanks! The life you save could be your children's.

Did he recently have a fever? If so it could be roseola. There's nothing you can do for it but wait for it to pass. It could spread to his neck and trunk area. I'm not sure why that happens but it has to do with fever and infection.

Sounds like it could be eczema. Get some hydrocortizone cream.
