You could have done better. With all the awesome centres in the league, I'm surprised you didn't score more on those. I like Staal a lot, Nylander is ok, and Sykora is a big "if."

You're good at LW. Odds are you'll drop Erat before the season is over, but Sedin and Gagne are about as good as it gets. Hossa is great on RW. The other two RWs are going to be big hit and miss guys. You'll either look like you are brilliant, or you'll be dumping one or both of them. Hopefully one of them breaks out for you. I, too, took a shot at Radulov as my third RW, and had Perry on my list. So I don't think you're crazy to have them!

Your defense is pretty average, even if Schneider is healthy. He is old, too, so he may be slow to coming back. He overachieved in Detroit, so I don't expect much from him. Campbell should improve over last year. Beauchemin's not worth much if Schnieder or Niedermayer play, but he may be a steal if they don't. Markov's solid, but not spectacular. You may do alright with these guys, but they won't win the league for you.

In goal, Giguere is great if he is healthy. You might want to handcuff him and get Bryzgalov if he is available, because Giggy gets hurt a lot. Miller is a solid guy, but his stats are a little bit suspect due to the defense in front of him. He'll get wins and have a decent save %. His goals against average and shutouts may be low. But he's as good a #2 as most teams will get. So overall I like your goaltending, but I'd drop Smith for Bryzgalov if possible (all my leagues had Bryzgalov available at the end).

Can you win with this team? Possibly. Don't forget it is all relative. I can't really answer that question without seeing what other teams did. It all rests on whether or not your second two right wings break out, and whether or not Nylander or Sykora do better than they usually do. I know they are both on good teams, but they are also both old and inconsistent. Ultimately, you are weak at centre, and that may be your undoing. Your wings and goaltending might pull you through anyway, though!

Good luck!

p.s. Everyone likes Nylander apparently. I disagree. He was with Jaromir Jagr and Martin Straka the past two years, and was decent, but not great. Ovechkin and a nobody wing are not going to improve him THAT much, and he might even lose his spot to a young Nicklas Backstrom. Buyer beware.

C - Eric Staal, Michael Nylander, Petr Sykora
7/10 - looks ok... but theres so many other better centers and they are on your oppenents teams...

LW- Daniel Sedin, Simon Gagne, Martin Erat
8/10 - seems to be your strongest position...

RW- Marion Hossa, Corey Perry, Alexander Radulov
6/10 - aside from Hossa, its about above average... Perry & Radulov are coin flips on how they'll do...

D- Mathieu Schneider, Brian Campbell, Andrei Markov, Francois Beauchemin
7/10 - not bad... Schneider will be missing games throughout the season so you may want to pick up a 5th defenseman...

G- J.S Giguere, Ryan Miller, Mike Smith
8/10 - Mike Smith should be replaced or dropped...

Good Luck...

I give it a 8/10

but if you do pick up another defensive player because if the DL listing then you have basically a late pick.. and there are plenty of idiots that will drop players for going -3 in a game and you could end up with someone good

you defense is really good, a good mix, and your net minders are amazing (I don't know how you can afford both har har). Your forwards are too offensive, you need a power forward and a good checking/defensive center. With Staal's passing ability and Gagne's speed they could rip it up. But i would never split up the sedin twins. You also need a strong leader, who is your captain? grade B+

Why are hall and Eberle on the fourth line? Why no longer call up Seugin and have him centre hall and Eberle on the 2d line? Madden must be with Parros on the checking line/ fourth line and Connolly on the 0.33 line with Wolski and Armstrong. i admire the blue line and Thomas ought to commence over Reimer. Ah, video games, the place you are able to stack communities and make asinine line united statesand nevertheless be aggressive.
