1) Hate when their religion teaches love (I have seen so many posts about "All fags should die")
2) Judge when it teaches them to "Judge not lest you be judged." (So many posts with "Gays are evil or unnatural", etc)
3) Hate those that are different when they are taught "Love thy neighbor as you love yourself." (Such animosity towards the LGBT community)
4) Disrespect others but hate when they are disrespected when they are taught "Do unto others as you would have others to unto you."
These, and many other things, confuse me about the Christian Religion.
What a boring world it would be if we were all exactly alike. We need to learn to celebrate our differences. Open your hearts, open your minds, show the compassion that all religions teach.

For the same reasons the Muslims blow themselves up for martyrdom...They are drilled in this radical belief system FROM BIRTH.Yes it is rediculous and rhetorical.Yes it is backwards in relation to the evolving standards of our maturing society. But they are in fact radicals. In my opinion religion is a crutch just like drugs and alcohol. If you need it,fine. But dont go trying to prop others up with your crutch because some of us do not need it.The good moral standards taught through most religions are very necessary to order in our society. It is all of the other stuff that is misconstrued to foster the hate and misgivings towards those who may differ in opinions or lifestyles.I have one simple knowledge and that is "God is Love".Everything else is man made and subject to extremist radicalism.Christians preach and teach "THE WORD" of God and they dont even recognize that "THE WORD" is a SINGULAR expression to mean there is only ONE WORD.And that one word is LOVE...The sooner people realize this the sooner the world can become a more peaceful place.Thank you for this excellent question.HUGS!!!

first... directly related to your question... those are the reasons that i don't belong to any "brand name" religion... I have very firm beliefs, and try to live my life as close as possible to ( for lack of a better comparison ) the way that Jesus preached that we should live... I believe that any religion that damns you to hell for not belonging has missed the "point" entirely... most religions ARE based on a premise of love and non-judgment... yet any time you put something in front of "man" , for some reason which i can not understand... it gets twisted until it can be used to justify exclusion and "power"... CLEARLY not the teachings of any "God"... It seems the only time we become unified as a people is when theres a BIGGER threat than each other... ( invasion from outer space.. "9-11"... ) ... it's sad...

... I think that the problem with the trolls and posters in general... ( applies to almost everyone ).. is there are too many generalities posted... "all gays... all Christians..."...even the word "most"... the only words that can be true are "a lot who post on here"...

concerning the Christians that DON'T post hate... it's because they have better things to do than taunt LGBT people... they're the real deal... they don't have some "need" to come on here and bash anybody because they "get it".. the ones that go out of their way to create profile after profile JUST so tha they can say "Aids kills F*Gs dead" probably don't even go to church... and probably only say their Christian to get a "rise"... they are sad... probably lonely people ... but the more they put us down... the stronger we get, because they expose themselves to everyone with an education on here... and the point is cemented that their opinions are no more than childish bullying.....

the ball is rolling... we finally have a voice... and there is no small minded bigot that can stop it... !

I'm sorry to say this but:

Religions (all of them) cannot 'teach' a person to be tolerant, loving,open-minded etc...

Religions are geared toward 'controlling the masses' and they do this by creating a bunch of rules/regulations which you must adhere to. Rules which are, in reality, impossible to follow.

Unlike the army where you can be physically punished for not doing what they want, religions 'punish' their members by creating a word called 'sin' and telling their members that they are to avoid this. Unfortunately, 'sin' is non-existant and is really, human nature.
After members of a religious group realize that they can't keep repressing their natural urges and who they are, they lash out at others... they call them 'sinners' or infidels, or gentiles... or whatever.

By oppressing another group/groups of people, these religious people can then feel vindicated and feel 'superior' to another group....

Real concern, caring, love, etc.... are not 'taught'.... they are 'nurtured'.

Most Christians do in fact do these things. I know from personal experience.

See, the thing is that when you blend in with them, as I do, you get to see the REAL people. And to be frank, I've seen it all.

Christians do in fact feel and act superior to everyone else. They find it SO easy to pick on or make fun of others, instead of doing what their religious mission tells them to do. That is to spread the story of Jesus and show how his love can change the world.

To those that say this isn't true....tell me how many letters you have written to ministers that use slang against gay people? How many times did you stand up in the middle of a service and offer a disagreement with the minister? None?

See....you can say that you are a loving follower, but when your back is against the wall, you lack the courage of your convictions.

Most Christians don't do the things you noted above. I'm a Christian and I have lots and lots of gay friends.
I feel those Christians who are making posts like you noted are misled and misinformed about their Christianity and have never truly embraced what it is about, because the only reason they are getting into heaven is because Jesus paid the price for them. No one is perfect, and those who think they are probably need a therapist and a mirror so they can take a good hard look at themselves.

I disagree with the choice of wording... so many christians do not in fact do as you indicate but rather a few loud mouth, obnoxious, close minded, fools who, as they continue to do as they are doing, may find themselves needing to do a lot or repenting.

Unfortunately tho they are rather loud and as such they seem to make it appear that it is most christians that are spewing the hate.

I don't see how moral majority can realistically claim that it's liberals who teach hatred

Too many so-called christians have lost what the religion is meant to be about plus they believe that bieng gay is a sin thanks to a mistranslation, also many pick and choose what to preach or they don't see how evil and filled with hate they appear to others

The people who claim to be christian and post messages of hate aren't whom they to be. Like everything on the internet, you have to be careful at accepting things at face value.

Those who pose as christians and spew hate messages are really gay men who pretend to be people of faith. This way they can spread their message of hate to inflame a target group. This propaganda has worked well over time, and clearly it's working again on this board.

The best action is just to ignore these people.

Because many of them have not taken the time to truly study the Bible and what it says, and does not say.

Many of them are so ashamed of their own sins that they look for anyone they can point a finger out to try and feel better about themselves.

Pray for these individuals, for they are truly misserable creatures.

They are very insecure in their sexual identity. Rather than "Knowing themselves" they project their self-loathing onto others. Look at Larry Craig. He is a prime example.
