A cake question. Nice.

well i am originally a working class and i like many cakes, except cakes with too many sultanas, or with buttercream. I dont like heavy icing too much either. Other than that, i will eat all types of cake. In many ways Cake has helped me get through the hard times in my life.,

I make a lovely nutcake too, you should try it.

my favourite store bought is from Marks and Spencer, its called Carrot and Orange cake - and i would say that my choice of cake retailer fully reflects my transition from working class to middle class.

It only affects the type of cake and manner in which it is eaten (social and private functions). With packaged mixes and icings (frostings), even the lower class can have their cake and eat it too.

I am not sure what you are asking this must be something in your country that is practiced? Here in the US one could say that the choice of beef and type that may reflect one's ability to afford the best meat. This is just an example.
