When successful and powerful republicans like Warren Buffet and Alan Greenspan speak out against the policies of the Bush admininistration, there are still "patriots" who refuse to admit they are wrong.

Isn't it primitive to believe that loyalty to the tribe is more important than doing the right thing?

The question is: Is loyalty to your leaders more important than admitting defeat when we make mistakses? We are human, we make mistakes as individuals and groups. Hopefully we are humbled and it makes us stronger.

Or (whether it be the economy or defense) we can Stay The Course.

Do we go with what "successful and powerful republicans" say and want or do we go with majority rule by the people.

Remember, WE THE PEOPLE had the opportunity to vote Bush out of office in 2004. So at that time, the majority of people felt a change was not needed.

As an additional control, we also have the Legislative branch of government. We voted in Democrats in both the House and Senate in 2006 and gave them the majority in both, with the idea that they would "fix things." And what have they accomplished? We now have a House with a lower approval rating than Bush and they have not done a thing.

Now the Democrats want us to also hand them the Presidency.

But fear not, thanks to the Republicans, Bush is limited to two terms and no matter what happens, he is out of there come Jan 20, 2009.

Hmmm,

When democratic party icons Zell Miller who gave the key note speech at Clintons nomination.

And Joe Liberman, who the democrats wanted to be vice president.

Spoke out about the Democratic party.

Democrats labeled them traitors to the party.

When they warned the policies of the Democratic Party were wrong,

Why did Democrats put party loyality ahead of doing the right thing ?

And ya gotta admit, Zell Miller and Joe Liberman, were more a part of the Democratic Party, than Buffet or Greenspan have ever been part of the republican party.

The only 'truth' in politics is what you believe. Where there is no externally measurable 'truth' you'll always have heads butting over whether this opinion is more reasonable than that opinion.

At any rate, neither Warren Buffett nor Alan Greenspan is an authority on either military matters or nation building, so their opinions are about as useful as those of George Soros or Donald Duck.

You see the same silly 'truths' in the 'global warming' hypothesis. The vast majority of the 'scientists' who have opined on 'global warming' are not experts in the field of climate change and those who are experts on climate change are still conducting a lively debate in their professional journals -- which tells me that the issue is far from settled, no matter what a publicity hound like Al Gore says.

When someone spouts-off about "truth", you'd think they would at least fact check the basis of their argument...

Warren Buffett, a wise investor and great philanthropist, is a Democrat who has held fundraisers for both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Isn't it primitive to believe that blind hatred is more important than a simple fact check?

Pretty much the same way the Democrats choose to ignore the more conservative of their party and spout the party line.

Besides, what makes you think that Greenspan and Buffet know everything?

Typical, Warren and Alan speak and this is twisted into "republicans ignoring the truth" and "are wrong". Must be nice that their words are god to democrats. They should speak more. Again facts, logic, and proof don't seem to be of any concern here.

Even Republicans are just about fed up with Bush, he has become an embarrassment. But you can't expect them to support the democrats, unlesss your name is McCain, Graham, or Specter.

I use to be a Full on Bush supporter... but now I'm not so sure. I don't hate Bush, and I don't object to everything he dose but there's been a couple things that hes done that I don't agree with.

I don't agree with the premise of your question. You produced no evidence that Republicans ignore the truth. Like you and me, Mr. Buffet and Mr. Greenspan are entitled to their opinions.

Also, you cheated. You asked more than one question and only got charged five points.

Your last question is a leading question, assuming facts not in evidence. Eg. "Do you still beat your wife?"
