Have you asked him about this, or are waiting for him to bring the subject up?

Assuming that you are 100% sure of your friends guilt, the subject has been discussed between you, and he makes no admission or shows any remorse, then drop him. People like that are not the sort you want to be close to you.

It depends on how you feel about the circumstances of his crime: who he stole from, why you think he did it...things of this nature. There are some behaviors that absolutely warrant terminating a friendship; whether or not this is one of them is up to you. Then too, there is always a matter of degree to be considered. For instance, I am more inclined to think harshly of a guy who stole something merely for kicks than if he stole something to feed his family. It's ethically jacked-up either way, but in the latter case at least it's sort of a mitigating factor.

try to get him to tell the truth you try to convince him to do so but if he don't, don't go tell that would make you a snitch, tell him if he don't admit to his guilt you would drop him if he say go ahead do so for a while and see what happens
