Going to the Yankee game tomorrow, but the person I'm going with has the tickets and he's not getting there for about an hour and a half after me. Grrr.

I don't mind hanging out in bars alone, I just don't know the bars around the Stadium. Can anybody recommend any?

THANKS!

Stans Sports Bar on River Ave. Behind the Stadium underneath the subway bridge.

Stan's is better than Billy's (not named for Martin), and the Yankee Tavern on 161st is better than both. But with the traffic and the jammed subways, I would recommend skipping the bars until after the game.

Right across from the Stadium on River Ave, theres a bunch of them. I dont know how good they are, but theyre always crowded, especially an hour or so before first pitch. Theres at least four of them to choose from.
