Ncko McBrain by Iron Maiden! This guy really rocks. Also the last drummer of Scorpion! He played in Scorpions concert in Greece alone for 10 minutes like crazy without stopping! Amazing! I forgot one more! John Bonham from Led Zeppelin! He is as a top drummer is supposed to be! He is one of the best! And Stewart Copeland! He's a really crazy drummer! His solos were godlike!

John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham (May 31, 1948 – September 25, 1980) was an English drummer and member of the English rock band Led Zeppelin. He was renowned for his power, speed and "feel" for the groove. Bonham is considered one of the most influential and respected drummers of the modern rock era and continues to be cited as an influence on drummers of varying styles to this day.

Hmmmm....best drummer from a rock band? I would have to say Neil Peart from Rush...one word: UNTOUCHABLE! Phil Collins would be next. Stewart Copeland after that. Props to Rick Allen from Def Leppard for overcoming the seemingly impossible. Best drummer who EVER lived (any genre) would have to be the late, great Buddy Rich.

BY far it was John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, he basically layed out the future for rock drummers. After that i'd say Phil Collins, but he's a personal favourite.

So many awesome drummers out there. I think Neil Peart from Rush would have to be first on the list. My opinion.
