It depends, if the child has medical problems, then yes a monitor is a good idea. but to use a monitor to spy on child
a a bad idea. When I was a child they didn't have them I had to stay in parents room until 5.

yes and no. i mean you'd want to know and be able to hear if someone broke in, but a 7 year old isn't going to start crying for a bottle like a baby either

Depends on the situation. When my son was 6 he had to wear a heart monitor. I had one in his room then.
