z/y+1 is the answer

y*(x-1) = z
Divide both sides of the = sign by y
y*(x-1)/y = z/y
(x-1) = z/y
You can drop the () now, they are not needed for grouping
x-1 = z/y
Add 1 to both sides
x-1+1 = z/y +1
x = z/y + 1
